AA or US First Class?

Agreed with the great advice.

Having never flown US I was honestly surprised by the comments re: LCC as I always thought US was just another regular carrier and was looking forward to trying them within the OneWorld alliance. Some of the connections opened up with them are quite appealing however after reading the above comments will avoid if possible.

Yeah - US domestic F is pretty bare bones basic.

They only reintroduced glassware in domestic F a year or so ago. Before that it was a styrofoam cup for a while!

If US is offering better connections they are 'fine' - just the flights can be incredibly boring if they are in the 'less than 2.45 hour' category - there's nothing to do except drink and eat from the slim pickings in the snack basket.

Just looking at flights now as my proposed dates are inside 90 days, and price of DCA-DFW-SEA is coming in at $627USD and 210SC. I see on Matrix that I can get 2 stops for $652 - any ideas how to book this online given Matrix isn't able to book them? A few sites (like Expedia etc) show these, but at over $900+. Any ideas?

I use the multi-segment tool on the AA site to force connections to city pairs. (AA.com not AA.com.au)

I'm guessing there is an easier way that someone will have :)

What 3 stops are you seeing on ITA?

Normally on ITA if you see a routing with a price you can generally go onto aa.com and find the fare on the same dates.

Do you mean you can see it on ITA but you can't pull up the same itin on aa.com with the same price?

Correct. On ITA can get 2 stops fo $652USD, with aa.com showing same routing via multicity tool of DCA-ORD, ORD-xDFW-SEA as $856USD. If I choose the routing DCA-xORD-DFW, DFW-SEA via multicity the price rises to $979USD for the same flights.

Try google flights , it can link you to the airline to book .

I have noticed similar occurring in recent times as well - I am thinking the AA booking engine is not bringing up all fares.

I have been able to replicate ITA fares on the USA Expedia.com, but have not booked any as yet.
