Heads up about program changes

Hmm, the decision to post about it was though!
I thought I would post what I felt was very useful information.

Qantas is listening. Watch this space regarding change to partner SC earn on routes not serviced by Qantas.

i.e. SIN-LHR, HKG-LHR etc.

I am sorry I do not have anything else to add and if my statement is wrong then we haven't lost anything.

This is (very understandably) turning into a "Heads up about program changers" thread...

The changes to QFF is simple. You fly with QF, you are penalised. You fly with a partner airline, you are penalised.

More like,
You fly with QF, you are penalised and we'll ignore your concerns. You fly with a partner airline, you are penalised and we'll blame you for our poor management.

I've noticed that they claim that domestic status credits are 'Mostly unchanged'. I've used the new SC calculator and compared it to my past couple of years' activity and every single leg has had its status credits reduced, both for discount economy and economy (9 segments I fly regularly). That's pretty dodgy.

You're not wrong. The whole shooting match is pretty dodgy!

They've also tried to hide that most AU-Asia QF operated flights will now get less SC unless you fly discount economy or W, which remains the same (which is the reverse of the "pay more - higher class, get more" talk)

That's pretty cheeky. On the other hand, how many people even fly Qantas to Asia these days?

Looking at Business, I get SYD-HKG, SYD-MNL, SYD-SIN, and SYD-CGK staying the same at 120 SCs, and SYD-PVG and SYD-NRT falling from 140 to 120. So I'm not sure about "most".

I think we worked out in Hong Kong that some areas that they claimed have increased, have actually decreased.
