Thought that I would share my recent and first experience with a QF 737-800 BSI.
I was fortunate enough to fly J SYD-ADL. I had seen the pics of the new J seats in burgandy and I wasn't impressed by the way that they looked. However, when I arrived at 1A I was very impressed. The seats were very very comfortable (much more so than the current cloth seats) and they seemed wider than the older J product.
The inflight entertainment system was very good and much better than the shared system.
The new overhead lockers were good and the new shape probably doesn't make a huge difference in J but the extra head space was noticable. The over head lighting system was also very pleasant. As far as I can tell, the bathroom is unchanged.
Overall, the new product was a vast improvement to the old product and I was most impressed.
I very much look forward to flying QF BSI aircraft again.
