According to One Mile At A Time, yes they are still geographically challenged. Of course, all of these new airlines and places are going to do their head in.
They're going to get a real workout with respect to Australian places, especially if anyone is planning a domestic / intra-regional itinerary. I'd suggest having IATA codes ready to go and perhaps proactively suggest them for any places not common or in North America.
I think they've had trouble separating Qatar and Qantas, let alone knowing that Qatar exists as both a nation and an airline. (Given the unfortunate media attention of Qatar, surprised that not many people know of it).
I really didn't think they'd be ready to go on 31 March. US Airways are oddly surprising.
