Perth-Singapore (PER-SIN vv) route with the cancellation of QF77 Perth to Singapore and QF78 Singapore to Perth services. Supplementary services will continue to operate during the peak holiday season between 03 July 2014 to 21 July 2014.
Customers’ bookings will progressively be updated to reflect the cancellation of these services and be confirmed with an alternate routing. The following options are also available to affected Qantas customers holding a valid ticket issued on/before
27 February 2014 for travel on/after 12 May 2014, excluding 03July 2014 to 21July 2014
For customers holding a Qantas (081) issued ticket:
Passengers may, without fee:
Reroute/Rebook
- Travel to/from Perth via Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne gateway on alternative Qantas service with 'QF' flight number operated by Qantas.
- Travel to alternate Qantas codeshare service with 'QF' flight number operated by Jetstar Asia between Perth and Singapore.
- Travel to alternate Jetstar Asia '3K' flight number operated by Jetstar Asia or Jetstar flight with 'JQ' flight number operated by Jetstar between Perth and Singapore v.v.
- Travel to/from Perth on Malaysia Airlines with ‘MH’ flight number operated by oneworld partner Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur or Cathay Pacific service with ’CX’ flight number operated by oneworld partner Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong.
Passengers beyond destination Singapore affected by the cancellation of QF77/78 may, without fee:
Reroute/Rebook
- Travel via Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne gateway on alternative Qantas service with 'QF' flight number operated by Qantas.
- Travel to/from Asia/India and South Asian Subcontinent on to alternate Malaysia Airlines or Cathay Pacific service with ‘MH’ or ‘CX’ flight number operated by oneworld partners Malaysia Airlines and Cathay Pacific.
- Travel to/from United Kingdom/Europe/Middle East/India and South Asian Subcontinent on to alternate Qantas codeshare service with ‘QF’ flight number operated by Emirates. Emirates flight with ‘EK’ flight number operated by Emirates may be used between Dubai and Europe/Middle East/India and South Asian Subcontinent where there is no Qantas codeshare service with ‘QF’ flight number operated by Emirates
All passengers affected by these changes may, without fee:
Change Destinations
The value of the existing ticket can be used towards the purchase of a new ticket. If the new fare is more expensive than the existing ticketed fare, the fare difference is payable by the passenger. Applicable surcharges, fees and taxes may apply.
Retain the value of the ticket in credit
Retain the value of the ticket in credit for future travel within 12 months from the original ticketed date of departure. If the new fare is more expensive than the existing ticketed fare, the fare difference is payable by the passenger. Applicable ticket surcharges, fees and taxes may apply.
Refunds
- For customers who have commenced their journey a full refund of the affected sector(s) will be available
- For customers who have not commenced their journey a full refund will be available
Conditions:
- All changes must be made prior to the original ticketed departure.
- New travel dates must be within ticket validity.
- Re-booking
- Qantas (QF), Cathay Pacific (CX), Malaysia Airlines (MH):
If the same booking class is not available, the lowest booking class within the same cabin may be booked (e.g. within Business or Economy cabin).
- Qantas codeshare services with 'QF' flight number operated by Emirates, Jetstar Asia and Jetstar: is subject to available inventory in the booking class originally ticketed.
- Jetstar Asia with '3K' flight number operated by Jetstar Asia must be booked in I, Z or A class.
- Emirates services with 'EK' flight number operated by Emirates must be rebooked as follows:
- Qantas will not be responsible for paying any other costs or expenses such as hotel or other ground operator fees arising due to events beyond our control, unless required by applicable laws.
- All other rules and conditions of the ticket remain unchanged.
- Customers are permitted to make changes as outlined in this policy. Any subsequent changes made after the ticket is reissued will be subject to the rules and conditions of the original ticketed fare purchased.
- Refunds requests must be submitted no later than 31 May 2014.
For customers holding a ticket issued by another carrier (non-081):
Passengers may, without fee:
Reroute/Rebook
- Travel to/from Perth via Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne gateway on alternative Qantas service with 'QF' flight number operated by Qantas. If the same booking class is not available, the lowest booking class within the same cabin may be booked (e.g. within Business or Economy cabin).
- Travel via Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne gateway on alternative Qantas service with 'QF' flight number operated by Qantas. If the same booking class is not available, the lowest booking class within the same cabin may be booked (e.g. within Business or Economy cabin).
Refer to the validating carrier for their policy.
For customers with unticketed bookings:
For unticketed bookings, alternate flights/routings can be rebooked subject to availability and tickets issued in accordance with fare conditions.
For customers on Frequent Flyer Award Tickets:
Passengers who are travelling on Qantas & Jetstar Any Seat Award tickets are entitled to the same options and conditions as listed above.
Passengers who are travelling on Qantas & Partner Classic Award tickets are entitled to the same options and conditions as listed above provided any travel rebooked or rerouted is made on an eligible Qantas Frequent Flyer Partner Airline and any travel booked on a partner airline is subject to award seat availability. Classic Award tickets cannot be retained in credit.
Trade Information
Ticket Reissue:
All Qantas flight changes need to be actioned (re-issued or revalidated) prior to travel, regardless of which airline the ticket is validated to.
For tickets that include ‘EK’ or ‘QF’ flight numbers operated by Emirates, the ticket must be reissued. Revalidation is not permitted.
Re-route/Re-book travel
- The agent can reissue the ticket in-house if validated to Qantas (081)
- Ticket to be reissued with no additional collection or refund.
- Additional fare, ticket taxes and change fees associated to the ticket do not apply
- All details of the original ticket to be shown on the new ticket including fare basis and fare calculation
- Authority number '542441' must be entered into the tour code box
- For Nett, APOSD and Private fares tickets, move the existing data from the tour code box to the endorsement box
- Net remit tickets will not require the NR indicator.
- For tickets validated to another carrier, please contact the Qantas Industry Centre for ticketing.
Change Destinations/Ticket in credit
- The Agent can reissue the ticket in-house if validated to Qantas (081)
- Additional fare and ticket taxes may apply subject to assessment of the new journey
- If the new fare is more expensive than the existing ticketed fare, the fare difference is payable by the passenger. Applicable ticket taxes apply.
- Authority number '542441' must be entered into the tour code box to waive the fee for voluntary changes
Refunds
- Any refund fees will be waived for tickets issued on/before 27 February 2014 for travel between Perth and Singapore and vice versa destination beyond Singapore affected by the cancellation of QF77/78 for travel on/after 12 May 2014, excluding 03 July 2014 to 21 July 2014.
- This excludes fees imposed by suppliers or third parties.
- To request a refund, return the ticket to the original point of purchase.
- Travel Agents can submit a Refund Application via BSP Link with reference to authority number ‘542441’ to waive any refund fees, no later than 31 May 2014.
