AA's Admirals Club 30-day Membership: QF lounge access?

I am looking at getting my partner and mother a 30 day membership for an upcoming trip to the U.S.

From everything I read, only 1 membership will be needed for them both to access SYD T3 QP, MEL T2 QP on there
way to LAX, then a few domestic AA runs. (they are both NB)

I know buying online you print the page out, if one is purchased in an AC do they issue the same, or do they have
a temporary card which IMO would make things a little easier or at least more bona fide?

I will be in the U.S. 10-11 days before they arrive so could easily express something back to them if need be.

I know the One Day passes issued in the AC's are double sided business cards, just have not seen a 30 day version (as it states, Date of Issue/Use on the card)

i just had the print out and never had any problems either in Aust or US.

And yes one membership will get them both in, so it is a good deal.

Have you considered using these flights for an AA platinum challenge? Chances are you would qualify on the return leg if not the outbound, depending on your QF fare class.

I contacted Qantas to confirm eligibility for Lounge access with the Admirals Club 30 day membership and was told if i can provide documentation and terms and conditions of the Amirals club 30 day membership, then i can get access.

Anyone have a link to such documentation?

QF probably means that once you buy a 30 day AA m'ship from the AA site and then turn up w' the receipt you will gain access. BEST you do as suggested on here and go find threads on this topic so that you understand it all, AND read the AA site.

My wife and I are booked Y CNS-MEL-DXB-ATH-land travel-CDG-DXB-SYD-CNS and are NB and Im looking for ways to make the trip a bit more comfortable, considering its going to be something approaching a once in a lifetime.

I've been looking through the booking made by the TA (I discovered AFF a few months after the booking to my dismay.. all the opportunities missed.. alas) and on the way over we have QF flight numbers on JQ and EK metal, and on the return I have one EK numbered, metal flight followed by QF2 and QF924.

Do I have this correct:

On the way over will it only be CNS where I will gain entry (is MEL a possibility?)

And on the way back be DXB & SYD?

Any other methods into full lounge access through the trip short of the full $ for QC membership?

EK number automatically rules out the use of the pass for that sector.

DXB is not available on the AA pass either.

So it really is only CNS and SYD for domestic access.... I would buy the QP membership if I were you.

Just wanting confirmation that this is still good to go? Have flights MEL-SYD-NRT-SYD-MEL. So should get lounge access in MEL, SYD, NRT and SYD for 2 people by buying one pass? And just need to print out the confirmation?

Access in MEL/SYD will depend on:
"Must present your membership card (or 30 Day Membership receipt) and boarding pass at check-in counter for same day travel on Qantas operated flight."
and at NRT:
"Note:
International arriving passengers must have a valid, same-day ticket for departure permitting access through Security."

Okay, seems strange to have to present it at the check in counter. I would have thought I would just rock up to the lounge in all those locations, show them the receipt, and then all should be good?

Also am I correct that it also allows for one guest? Actually on re-reading it states 2 guests! This seems like a pretty good deal.

I think they are referring to the lounge check-in counter. It can be more than 2 guests if it includes spouse/partner and immediate family. It is a good deal.

I'm reading 2 guests on the AA site, but I'm sure I've read elsewhere that you're only permitted 1 (perhaps I'm thinking of something else)?

Can anyone confirm no problems with guesting in 2? The site states two guests, so just want to check before my parents use it with my sister. I have the print out in any case.
