Planning trip to Vancouver with Mrs kiwi next year. The 2 for 1 J sale would be useful about now.

Thinking of doing a trip around US-Canada. Is there anything like a circle pacific fare that is just for lots of cheap US travel and lets us keep status points up.:D

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

There's oneworld's Visit North America pass:

oneworld - Visit North America

There's a sale on at the moment which knocks off 10% of the price, but note that the prices given on the website are exclusive of taxes (and you don't get 10% off the price of taxes either).

I'm not sure whether the economics stack up on this kind of fare if status credits are your game, though. From your post, it seems you'd just like some sort of fare product that will take you places around, and if it has some SCs with it then all and good, in which case the Visit N America pass might be OK - but check with the experts here first.

For a true SC run if you would like it, consider doing a AA YUPP run (i.e. "Instant Upgrade" fares on AA) instead.

I did a few dummy bookings on AA in the last few days as l was planning on going to the USA and doing some myself. Circumstances have changed, so l'll be doing them in the middle of next year. Prices are current and will most probably change.

You guys are champions. Many thanks and I will start to bring this up with Mrs "She who must be convinced".
Can someone pl explain this in words a kiwi can understand. Can it be booked through NZ or do I have to go through Aus or USA.

For a true SC run if you would like it, consider doing a AA YUPP run (i.e. "Instant Upgrade" fares on AA) instead.

Those fares are "YUPP's" (or equivalent).

I have actually booked the above on the AA.com website using the "US resident" method.

This thread gives a clue - many of the fares referred to are now gone, but you'll get the idea:

http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/com...-advantage/good-sc-earning-value-ex-8840.html

As to how to book:

http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/com...ge/arrgh-its-painful-buying-tickets-8415.html

In a few weeks I am doing the following:

LAX-DFW 120
DFW-TPA 90
TPA-DFW 90
DFW-SEA 120
SEA-SFO 90
SEA-SFO 60

570 SC for $1849.60pp.
$3.25 per SC.

This was not optimised other than we flew to TPA rather than MCO as it was a approx $500 cheaper and it suits us anyway. We are stopping in SFO for a couple of days which added approx $250 extra as SFO-LAX leg booked into F rather than P for just a transit.

This was booked only about 3 weeks ahead and through AA Australia as I worked it through the Aust and US sites and the fares came up the same.
