Looks like it is up and running!


Not sure what the bit about 'estimates' on return bookings is about just yet.
Edit: Now I do, rather strange numbers can come up. How strange.

I can access my long haul bookings from the VA site. Looks like Amadeus PNRs have been replaced with Sabre ones, however you can still access the booking with the old PNR

I can also book Perth - London on points! At last! Through Syd or Mel on Etihad though....

Need Etihad to start flying to Perth soon.

I'm seeing a few BNE-SYD domestic flights tomorrow with the A/C type showing as 77W - VA9820, VA9822... are these just test flights, or are VA now using these A/C on domestic legs? Both flights for sale with Saver Lite from $110.90.

Also, some flights show 73H, and others show 738... it was my understanding that 73H = 737-800? If so, does anyone know what the difference is re: VA?

Weird - I could. I had to login on the right hand side first. Selected points + pay from memory.

Points were very good value indeed. Taxes included.

if you are not personally notified about changes to baggage allowance it will be what it was published when you purchased the fare.

I did a booking myself, as a DJ SG, rows 1 to 6 are blocked from selection where previously I could do row 3.

More interesting is that seat maps are showing on Expert Flyer ... more or less ...

I just tried a booking from Mel to Brisbane in march and could select row 3 seats at platinum. Could be a lot of Plats returning from holiday or on holiday? Or perhaps some other reason the seats are blocked.

Overall looking pretty good and definitely a more powerful booking engine for customers.

Obviously not quite implemented yet though - for instance the drop down fare descriptions don't show at they link to an internal development server. I expect that everything will be sorted over the next week or so.
