Enjoy some time in Zurich. Yes, it might be an expensive day trip, but everyone always goes around Switzerland when they visit Europe, never in it. A modest hotel, a bit of a wander around Lake Zurich and a modest meal and drink may not be pennies but it will not cost the world.

Or drive over from an adjacent country. ( but more time would be required). A different way to see the countryside.
