Yes, which is good enough for me but the other half read the second paragraph under the summary here: Smartraveller.gov.au - Malaysia

Tbh, I'd take any excuse to get 5 nights in KL for 40K points if I could.

Well if the second paragraph strikes out Malaysia, then similar wording under the Indonesian summary, coupled with a yellow rather than green warning should also strike out Bali for you, I would have thought.

I hear you. My fiance is the one concerned. I've been to Malaysia, Thailand and India all before we met. I am working on it!

OT, but the only two places listed by smartraveller.gov as "reconsider your need to travel" in PNG are my two most common destinations ... and where I live for circa 6 months of the year. :-|

I'll be in BKK later this year. Whats so good about Millenium? Would you stay there if you had the pick of hotels in bkk ?

Yes I would, though my only other points of reference are DT Sukhumvit where I wouldn't stay again, not that the staff weren't fantastic, but the hard product is not for me - and Hilton Hua Hin where I would definitely go again, but its certainly a hike out from BKK.

Whats good about the Millenium? They've never failed me on status recognition and general top shelf treatment, so, soft product is very _very_ good and I like the location. Theres a nice not ridiculously busy coughtail style bar upstairs. Ferry will take you to places of interest or close to. Whilst there is no escaping that the hotel is older now, its still top shelf in my view. I might try the Conrad BKK one day, but it would be a risk imho, the Millenium is _that_ good.
