Your favourite photos taken of/from a plane?

Some photos from this morning and a type regularly seen, but maybe not from this viewpoint.

Hello Canberra

Deflating CBR. Back down.

Now, how do I log that flight on Openflights? Type, duration and rego noted but departure and arrival points… hmmm.

Not quite in the spirit of this thread but I was excited to see a 214 kph tailwind and an effective ground speed of 1138 kph from my SQ A380 a couple of nights ago.

So close, could almost see the Ryanair flight bounce over the berm.

Also, a shout out to the BA FO who gave me a wave in return. Made my day. And I almost knocked down a farm fence from their departing jet blast. I like to think the FO was PIC. Legend.

That’s better than any Italian train window I’ve ever seen
I should have said "a cleaner Italian train window".

I was thinking a top tip for travellers in Italy would be to know your window in advance and bring along some Windex and a Chux to give it a clean before boarding.

We were on a cruise today on the Canal du Midi near Carcassonne and the boat stopped for a break at an old lock keepers house. While we were ashore a plane flew over low and my wife said it looked odd. I managed to get a couple of photos on its second pass. To me it looks very much like a Nord Noratlas. If I am right I saw the only flyable example left in the world. It is based at Marseille.

Carcassonne is the home base for a French Parachute Regiment and Wikipedia says the plane is still used by the French military on special occasions.

you mean you didn't have Flightaware or something open after the photo to check ;)
