Not quite in the spirit of this thread but I was excited to see a 214 kph tailwind and an effective ground speed of 1138 kph from my SQ A380 a couple of nights ago.

you mean you didn't have Flightaware or something open after the photo to checkWe were on a cruise today on the Canal du Midi near Carcassonne and the boat stopped for a break at an old lock keepers house. While we were ashore a plane flew over low and my wife said it looked odd. I managed to get a couple of photos on its second pass. To me it looks very much like a Nord Noratlas. If I am right I saw the only flyable example left in the world. It is based at Marseille.
Carcassonne is the home base for a French Parachute Regiment and Wikipedia says the plane is still used by the French military on special occasions.
