Hi,

I'm trying to trace my flight history and Qantas is one of the trickiest to find timetables for. Does anyone have timetable that was valid in Apr 2000? I found Qantim app for Windows using Wayback Machine, but it only has a version that is valid from Jul 2000.

I flew these flights and it would be really nice to know the equipment/departure time/arrival time:

Sat Apr 1st 2000 SIN-BNE QF52
Tue Apr 11th 2000 SYD-SIN QF5
Tue Apr 11th 2000 SIN-FRA QF5

Thanks in advance!

It should be the same for April 2000 given it's also within the Northern Summer season?

In an old thread dajop and serfty seemed to find a difference in Mar 2000 and Jul 2000 schedules. Or was that something that doesn't apply to my case?

The Northern Summer season typically runs from late March to late October:

I'll have a look; can't guarantee the exact information. It won't be until later this week before I have an opportunity since I am currently not in the same location as my timetable booklets.

Looking at timetables dated July 1999 and July 2000:

Flight19992000
QF52: SIN-BNE---Mo, We, Sa19:40-0510+1763
QF5: SYD-SINTu, Th, Sa, Su15:40-21:35744Tu, Th, Sa, Su16:40-21:35744
QF5: SIN-FRATu, Th, Sa, Su22:50-0535+1744Tu, Th, Sa, Su22:50-0535+1744

Note that QF5 departed SYD 15:40 until 26th August 2000 as daylight savings started early that year due to the Olympic Games.

Excellent, thanks! Looks like QF5 was pretty stable 1999-2000 and since QF52 service started in 2000, schedule and equipment were most likely the same in Apr and Jul.

Now I'll continue trying to find Australian Airlines timetable for Jul 1988 to solve my SYD-BNE-CNS flight mystery. I guess Qantas forum is not the place for that since it can't have been a Qantas route back then. Anyone have any pointers?

I'll check, but back then Qantas had many multi segment "direct" flight routes.

Off the top of my head, QF400 was MEL-SYD-OOL with QF475 OOL-SYD-MEL the SYD/MEL segments being the first and last flight of the day between those ports respectively. QF610/QF637 were similar for MEL-BNE-CNS & vv.

I have no timetables going back that far. Qantas did fly that route a decade later in 1998. A timetable effective 29th March shows QF514, QF538 & QF544 were all SYD-BNE-CNS schedules.

Do you have anything about QF26 in Nov 1999? My first time in the country.

LAX-HNL-CNS?
Certainly by May 2000, QF25/QF26 was the BNE-AKL-LAX and LAX-AKL-BNE routing. I flew QF25 BNE-AKL-LAX on 1st May 2000, and QF26 LAX-AKL-BNE on 5th May 2000.

But I think that was fairly new routing for the flight number at that time. I flew the routing BNE-AKL-LAX the month before as QF53 BNE-AKL and QF101 AKL-LAX on 4th April 2000, and returned QF100 LAX-AKL and QF54 on 18th April. So I assume QF25/QF26 was a different routing before May 2000. The QF100/101 became MEL-LAX-MEL routing, which I flew in July 2000, before that routing changed to QF93/94, which I flew in April 2002.

And in May 2005, I flew QF25 SYD-BNE, but can't remember where the international continuation went - possibly SYD-BNE-LAX at least a few days a week. I had arrived from LHR via SIN on QF10 into MEL, then continued QF10 MEL-SYD and connected to QF25 SYD-BNE in seat 2J on the 744 (F seat sold as J on a DONE4).
