WP Perks with Niki

Hi Folks,

Looking at booking a flight from VIE > NCE using QF Points as a WP with Niki Airlines. Never had any experience with Niki before, and wondered what (if any) perks I can expect flying with them? The most obvious would be lounge access in VIE if it's there. Any experience that can be shared with Niki would be awesome.

Niki is a member affiliate of Air Berlin, so that's the first bit ticked off.

The oneworld.com website shows there are two lounges you could use: Lounge access - oneworld

According to this table on the oneworld site, yes.

However, on the Niki site, while it does describe the extra baggage allowance for Air Berlin/Niki elites, there is no specific reference to OW partner airline status holders being afforded the same extra weight/pieces. Extra baggage certainly did not used to be a cross-oneworld benefit but maybe this has changed.*

*In fact, on the oneworld site it indicates that this changed back in February and as WP you are allowed one extra bag over the basic free allowance (not the two extra that applies to AB/Niki plats).

Recently flew Air Niki Nice to Vienna, apart from lounge access they also have priority checkin for gold & above,but doesn,t open til normal checkin.Also the female attendants were pretty trendy in their hipster jeans & bright pink shirts.
