I'm currently ticketed to fly PVG-SYD-MEL in Y, but may need to call QF and ask to be re-routed PVG-HKG-MEL-, PVG-HKG obviously on CX/KA and HKG-MEL on QF. What would the difference in my luggage allowance be as a WP?

Recent changes gave Emeralds an extra piece (or 20kg if it's a weight system), but not sure if there's a most significant carrier/who you're ticketed with rule.
