so nice, 1.5 cent a point, that's like 55% off ticket, and if he can manage to sell the product = profit.
Good inspiration!

This is absolutely epic!

I know I'm dragging up a bit of an old thread, but I'm keen to hear of more trolley run stories!

For some reason the macro and select offers have been thin on the ground since those golden times :D:D

I'm hoping the Select offers come back. The bread and milk I usually buy have been rebranded as Select items so I'd easily qualify for the offers where you had to buy 4 or 5 products in a week to qualify for bonus points. I can't see anyway I'd make a profit out of the multiple use Select offers, except if the Select jelly went on 20% special again. I know other people can make money out of some other products but I don't want to buy products that I can't use.

On a separate note, Flybuys had a Simply Less promotion where it was possible to spend less money than the value of the bonus points available for the promotion. Flybuys must have figured this our however and put a condition on the offer that you could only take it up twice during the promotion period. I spent $3.90 and got $5.00 worth of points for the offer. I could have spent about $3.30 but I didn't need the particular products that were cheaper than the products I purchased.

Yes we need inspirational threads from time to time. Perspirational threads seem to be where most of our lives are.
It was well done Joshua!
Yesterday we had lunch with friends and up came ATO and paying on a credit card or two. NAB will be pleased that they can provide an additional 300k of points to my young lunch partner.

This is a great thread! Would love to know if anyone has tried anything similar lately or any other manufactured spending. Well done Joshua!

EDR closed a lot of the loopholes since this promotion. It has been rare to see any targeted offers which can be taken up multiple times recently.

I wouldn't call them loopholes. They just haven't offered as generous an offer since. I have had a few offers that can be taken up multiple times. One that springs s to mind is the cooking show one.

Apologies for nor following the thread. Did Joshua ever report in after his epic haul; or did he get an offer that was too good to refuse, regarding public statements; as another AFF clearly did? No judgement cast on my end either way.

I hope that comes back for a second season... I've nearly cleared out my freezer ;)

I'd forgotten about the cooking show one. The points value return wasn't very good, except when the items went on clearance prices.

I am unaware of any public gagging. That would actually be counterproductive IMO, as this is the sort of publicity that WW and EDR/QF would want to get more members. Even though the days of the trolley runs seem to be behind us.

The days of the trolley run are always behind us, until the next one. I never thought there would be another 'pudding guy' but there was. In another few years when this has all died down and become folklore, someone will do make the same mistake/do it again. There was also the AmEx pts run in the last few years that was well documented here. Different flavour but same sweet treat.

Nice to see this thread getting another run and all the newer members reading what happened back in the heyday of EDR :D

Just sitting in ma rockin chair just a rockin; waiting for the nb marketing guru to graduate from uni is all....
