Would you rather get champagne from a plastic cup or sparkling wine in a proper glass?

Quality of plastic cup is also a factor… while all plastic is undesirable, there are polystyrene coffee cups (yes I was served real Champagne is one in last 10 years) that really have no place, none

Better too cold than lukewarm in my view. But really, many beverages are awful lukewarm- they served us slightly heated cans of beer on a Chinese Domestic flight not too long ago and it was as baaaah as one would expect. Give me an ice cold French champagne in a plastic cup over that any time!

Whilst I like a Veuve Clicquot, I find most champagnes overrated. Many of the good Tasmanian sparkling wines are much better. Give me one of those in a glass please. Keep your plastic and your champagne!

Veuve is indeed overrated.
Try a Nicholas Feuillatte instead.
My French friends all drink it.

But try a millésime if you can find one.

But … beer is like champagne, for those who actually like it … if it has actual flavour, it shouldn’t be close to zero degrees C. Stuff like VB, xx_X et al need to be close to zero so you can’t taste it, but proper beer needs to be at the sorts of temps British pubs have in their cellars.
