Hi all,

Flying this coming Good Friday (18th April) with SQ from MEL > SIN in J, was hoping that some more saver award suites might appear before the 18th but it's only 5 days out now and nothing has opened up. I did use expertflyer to see that only 2 people are booked in Suites for the flight, is it worth begging Call Centre staff to see if they can open them up for 2 pax? Otherwise might just have to cop 150,000 points and do standard awards.

Thanks in advanced!

Absolutely. It only costs a phone call plus your time, 10-15 minutes of politeness,

8 Hours plus 2 hours pre-flight lounge time is a long to sit in your J seat wondering what could have been.

Absolutely waitlist - but don't assume that because there are only 2 people booked in Suites that they'll open it up for you.
I had 2 seats come off waitlist SYD-SIN in an almost full Suites cabin, but they refused to open SQ26 SIN-FRA for us even though they only had one passenger in Suites for that flight. Go figure.
