Karratha getting another refresh! It’s less than 10 years old and is pretty impressive as is for a regional lounge!
Not a consideration for QF?also has JQ flights
You've hit the nail on the head.Perhaps after whatever time alcohol is served, then possibly.
Agreed but I guess often at these airports the rest of the airport is even worse. At least they usually have comfortable seats.I'm not sure I really see the point of the QF regional lounges based on my experience a couple of months ago at BME. Perhaps after whatever time alcohol is served, then possibly. Otherwise, there is terrible coffee from a machine and no food that could be considered either a meal or healthy. Not even fresh fruit.
Sure, wifi is available but that's not really needed these days.

I’m in the DPO regional lounge now waiting on a delayed flight. I get slightly more comfortable seats, a fridge full of bottled water, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer, cider and white wine to browse on and some cheese and crackers. There are biscuits, slices, and 3 types of pretzels, soy and nut offerings plus some pretend red wine and coffee etc.I'm not sure I really see the point of the QF regional lounges based on my experience a couple of months ago at BME. Which point can you see? Daver6?I can see the point and am happy to be in here and not out there

I'm happy with any QF lounge that takes me away from the madding crowd.
Others may disagree. One wonders about them (the people that disagree), though.
Yes, all valid concerns then. I'm usually quite able to fight my way through this crowd and find a seat, get a few drinks and mentally chill out.You can wonder about me, but that won't help much. I'm not sure how much of your comment rests on "away from the madding crowd".
If that's key (a quieter, less crowded experience than elsewhere) then I'm pretty much with you.
But the number of QF (and VA) lounges that are more often than not peaceful and/or uncrowded is getting fewer and fewer.
I won't attend a lounge, for the sake of being in a lounge, when the lounge experience is cough. Like the Hobart QP ("proudly voted Australia's second worst lounge by AFF") and other lounges where its crowded, the food offerings are basic and/or ransacked and there are umpteen sources of noises around.
I have to agree with you. "Any port in a storm". At least I've found more power points in a lounge than out in the main terminal. And I don't have to pay.Yes, all valid concerns then. I'm usually quite able to fight my way through this crowd and find a seat, get a few drinks and mentally chill out.
If I get annoyed, it's usually because of more important things.
