QP or J lounge?
Neither come close to being the “worst” but yes, a proper refurb is overdue.
A bit extreme! Half the terminal would collapse.
The J lounge already has showers. No idea if the QP does - haven’t been in there for a very long time.
Why? They’re domestic lounges. The majority of peeps are there 1 or 2 hrs before their flight (probably less for the regulars).
Well, something unique at the T3 J lounge besides Paninis would be welcome.

The majority of PAX there are probably originating in SYD, but yes if you’d flown in from PER on the redeye (which I always refused to do), a nice shower as an arrivals lounge option would be appreciated!Maybe more a case of insufficient and sub-standard J lounge showers.
On the triangle routes, I suspect QF would be reasonably good at rebooking on the next available. My recent DEL-MEL was delayed 2 hrs but we were rebooked on the equivalent timed onward flight to SYD before we even left our India hotel. As Qantas has too many international flights arriving into SYD than MEL and BNE, it would mean inevitably many customers who missed their domestic connection from late international arrival or immigration process and forced to wait for hours.
That would be nice but I can’t think of too many purely domestic lounges that have that.Having sleeping rooms will allow them for a nap after long flight.
When was the last time you were there? Both the QP and J lounge have floor to ceiling windows filling the huge main areas with natural light. Yes, there’s a quieter zone behind the checkin desk. Can’t say I’ve ever sat there. Moreover, Qantas T3 J Lounge is dark and lack of food options, the salad bar should be scrapped and replaced with noodle bar, offering wonton noodle soup, dim sum, stir fried vegetables and seafood in line with Cathay Pacific lounges.
Agree with this. QF gets a lot wrong but I must say in my expertgey have been excellent at this. The few times we have had late flights back into Australia from Asia we have always been booked on to the next flight to ADL no issuesOn the triangle routes, I suspect QF would be reasonably good at rebooking on the next available. My recent DEL-MEL was delayed 2 hrs but we were rebooked on the equivalent timed onward flight to SYD before we even left our India hotel.
