World’s safest airlines - 2026 edition

Sorry, that is not methodology - nothing about how they assessed the audits.
Also, they are not looking in the places where they should be for something like this - for example audits of near misses, audits of crew rostering, crew hours, shift work disorder syndrome for example. There are several ways to measure fatigue from shift work - self reporting fatigue scales/tools, and there are algorithms that predict fatigue using for instance circadian rhythm disruption methodology.

that is ‘their’ methodology.

Most seems to be desktop… if not all of it.

There doesn’t seem to be any examination or investigation beyond what’s publicly available. No ‘questions’, unless they want to, for example Starlux and Singapore.

Yes superficial at best.
They should actually get safety auditors/experts involved if they ever want to have something reliable and useful. But i suppose, its for general street consumption so does not have to be anything substantial.

Unfortunately the really informative data is always hidden and impossible to obtain except from whistleblowers.
