Maybe AFF members are quite discerning regarding the merits and otherwise of rewards programs compared to the general community.
No doubt they are - that's the AFF demographic - but only a a very small % of WW total customer base - and I really do think WW mgmt might just know a little more about their business than the AFF community does - but as always opinions are like belly buttons - we all have one.

+ 1 it's not like the partnership has been a winner for WOW. They've been thoroughly flogged by Coles for the past 26 qtr's ... 6.5 years in long hand.

I made that comment slightly tongue in cheek. While agreeing with you somewhat about Woolworth's senior management knowing something about their business, I'll prove that I have a belly button by saying that I think the decision to can QFF points was a sensible one, but what they've replaced it with is a lemon

And this will win them back customers? I hardly think so. If anything they will lose further sales and market share. The question is whether or not the lost revenue outweighs the cost of all those Qantas points.

This idea of "revenue is falling so let's take more away from our customers/reduce service" reminds me of Australia Post. How are they going?

Woolies have bigger problems than peddling a few lousy FF points.

No CEO/MD, half the board needs replacing, financial disasters with Masters/Big W and worst of all ... stores that have been left to age for far too long.

Yep, great time to be buying WOW shares.

Keep an eye out for takeover bid. Falling share price + falling $A + plenty of low hanging fruit = opportunity for an offshore buyer.

There is a couple of blokes here that have intimate knowledge of how to manage Woolworths successfully.
Greg Foran, former Woolworths head of Supermarkets. The person who started the Woolworths/Coles price war (Woolworths started it, Coles scrambled to copy it and quickly came back with a more "memorable" marketing campaign for it - "down down").

Pity they didn't appoint him CEO instead of the last couple of duds...

I agree. We have 2 woolies and 1 Aldi's where we live plus a couple of IGA - and only about 17,000 population. I will be happy to travel to Coles as I am often in the area where our nearest Coles is - 20 minutes away. I think the biggest winner in our area will be Aldi's.

New program not looking yay attractive so far.
I did a show for ~ $50 at the local Woolworths, and saw very few of the orange WR tickets.
At checkout, nothing of the basics purchased earned Woolworths Dollars (zero earn).

The docket mentioned "you have earned 1 Qantas point, per dollar over $30", rather than the old form of stating Qantas points earned.
So unless more articles come to earn Woolies Dollars, Coles looks like becoming the preferred supermarket, all else being equal.
