1 fuel discount with $0 dollars balance...sounds like my credit card...anyway time to grab my last 4c/L trade off and fly away to the UK, does Waitrose doing a QFF deal?? ;)

If your going to live in the UK.... The Tesco club card can be converted to BA Avios miles at a 2 for 1 ratio of Clubcard points . Tesco are the market leader in the UK and are the second largest retailer in the world after Walmart.
Tesco have hundreds of fuel outlets throughout the nation.

Sainsbury's have the Nectar card as their loyalty card which converts to nectar points ( can be exchanged for Expedia.co.uk for money off your holiday).
Nectar points can be earned at both BP and Sainsbury's fuel outlets.

Waitrose is a very unusual business set-up, employees are classed as partners and are effectively the shareholders.
Waitrose has no loyalty scheme attached to frequent flyer schemes to the best of my knowledge.

I just went shopping at Woolworths. Today I earned a grand total of... wait for it... Zero Woolworths Dollars.

Hardly anything was marked with orange tickets and the things that were marked were (a) things I would rarely buy anyway and (b) expensive - I've seen most of those products on sale for less than the price after Woolworths Dollars (aka. itchy & scratchy money) rebate.

Has anybody done a fill up petrol today that has opted for points?

I'm about to fill up and have the choice of filling up at Coles with 4c a litre off plus collecting flybys points or filling up at Woolies where I don't know if I'm going to get my 2 QFF points per litre anymore. Plus the hassle to constantly chase them up for the missing points until December 31st is not winning me over either it has to said.

I'm pretty sure you can still buy Waitrose giftcards in Tescos which is a workaround. I find that point-for-point Avios are more valuable than QF points

Nectar points are kind of like flybuys pre-Etihad with almost no arbitrage potential

woolies already have deleted the option of converting your discounts to qantas points..you have to contact them to make the change

What a joke. They arbitrarily changed my earning preference and make it difficult to change it back to what should be the default. Nowhere on the website to even indicate how to do this, deceptive conduct by omission.

I was going to keep going till 31 December but I'll give them a miss immediately. I consider Woolies have screwed me over and have earned my disloyalty, just as accor did a few years ago with their misleading marketing in the leadup to their new scheme.

Cheers skip

I logged into my Woolworths Pesos account and found under 'Cards & accounts' in the 'My Account' menu the option to link my QFF. Only problem is I get:

We cannot process your Qantas Frequent Flyer application at this time. We are currently experiencing technical difficulties processing your request. Kindly try again later.

I realise it's day one of the new program but did they not do any testing of the site (including stress/load) prior to launch?

+1 What a joke.
Can't believe they just simply removed the QFF points option even though it's suppose to end on Dec31.

Guess I'll be filling up with BP moving forward.

Using the web chat feature of the new site, 'Tod' assures me that my QFF is linked and that I will earn QFF points until 31/12/2015 and my preference for fuel discount remains unchanged. It's handy that you can print the conversation as I'll hang on to it should points not post.

Mrs OATEK got her new "rewards" card today. It came with a note saying "Simply shop, scan and save - the rewards will take care of themselves".

Obviously it is built on the "just trust us" principle, and therefore why would you need to login!

My accounts are linked by default. Are you linking a card that wasn't previously linked?

Per my update my QFF was linked but there isn't an easy way to tell so that's why I tried again.

Just completed my first shop in the new era for $160 -- "You have earned $0 Woolworths dollars "
Clearly way too much fruit and vegetables, and fresh fish for dinner!!

This was posted on the Woolworths Facebook page. Notice how confused the woman looks shopping at Woolworths.

Ok fair enough. I just rechecked all 4 accounts that have been linked for years and they were all still linked. I'm basing that on the fact it says "unlink card".
