You just swap each Ultimate gift card for a Luxury Escapes digital gift card via the Ultimate Exchange website. I don't believe there's any limit on the number of gift cards you can redeem at Luxury Escapes but in June they added the following to their terms and conditions:

I'm not sure if there's a way around this but that seems to suggest that you're limited to $1,500 worth of gift cards per booking unless your gift cards were purchased directly from Luxury Escapes.

Re Luxury Escapes $1500 limit on gift cards per booking: If you exchange your ultimate gift cards for Luxury escape egift cards then redeem those egift cards for credit on your luxury escape account then you can go over $1500. When booking a holiday it has your account credit visible as a payment option and you can hit 'apply' then pay the residual with credit card or paypal etc.

Oh that's just brilliant. So now even the legitimately purchased card(s) are effectively useless? I have no issue with them blocking all the extras, but blocking the legit cards is not cool.

Could always use our recently-purchased TCN pre-paid MasterCards from the Qantas Marketplace for this

Oh wait.... no we can't because TCN have cancelled every card purchased by anyone

And yes, I'm being sarcastic as I would not go in for this deal either.

Looks like the variable load $500s are gone.....forever. I'm down to my last one bought last year (Nov 24)

Yes they have

I used a few cards to pay the ATO but looking at the history on TCN they have cancelled the transaction so suspect it won't go through but the ATO takes days to update.

I should have gone to a retail shop and used the $$$ as it couldn't be reversed

Appears all cards are going to be cancelled and refunded and I suspect the Qantas points will be as well.

I'll do a chargeback tomorrow if no email from TCN, as you can't use AFCA for TCN as they are not a member.. which is disgusting.
