Continuing the devious thought - you then donate it to a charity and claim it off tax.

So cost becomes (hopefully) 28 to 40% less...

I see-You would be effectively buying points at 1.6c if you don't donate but can get it under 1c if you swing the tax deduction. Would get a few more points if you bulk-bought before year's end

How can you donate a prepaid gift card to a charity and have them receipt you for its full value?

No experience of that type of donation myself
You would be donating the phonecards not the giftcard.
You would have the receipt from WW to substantiate. Not sure if you need to connect the receipt to a CC account for the authorities to be happy

Ps: i think it would be too much of a faff to buy QF points at that price for me

I have just done a dry run with $100 e-gift card and successfully "converted" it to a Wish plastic card.

Well, I continued with my mission and now have $2100 worth of WISH gift cards paid for with Big W e-Gift cards purchased at 7.5% discount from the Ent Book. That will keep me going for a while.

I understand why WOW have changed the format of e-Gift cards so that they are store specific since Big W is clearly struggling and they hope the incentive of a further discount will drag customers in store. I have no doubt that this trick of "converting" e-Gift to plastic WISH will be squashed by the next time the offer comes around.

Offer ends tomorrow so still time for those who can be bothered.

Just noticed that WW are selling a $30 prepaid mobile starter pack which earns you WW$20. Which will be 1740 QFF. 58 points per dollar is hard to beat!! Or just over 61 points if using a 5% WISH card.

With the current Big W offer of '10% off when you spend $100 or more on a Big W gift card'.. what's to stop me buying a $200 card for $180, and then using this $200 to buy a $222 card, etc. My original spend would stay the same ($180) but looks like the value of the vouchers increases.. what am I missing here?

The instore ones aren't discounted

Still will have to earn the rewards to get the QF points, and currently that's their failing. Very few items with rewards and then there is often a second option that is cheaper than the reward choice. Looked at tuna the other day and the reward option was more expensive even with the reward earning taken of the ticket price than several name and no name alternatives. This seems to be the norm. Any earned rewards savings would be better served just selecting alternate and better value brands.

Woolies just don't seem to get it.

Seriously not surprised if they are struggling. I haven't been to my local for ages as they have, for ages, been trying to funnel everyone through self service which irks me enough at any business and I give them a wide berth, but on top of that, getting any sort of assistance in store is practically impossible ... reminds me a lot of being at a Bunnings store these days, though there at least they don't have self serve checkout.

I can often get the same or similar items, for about the same price at DJ's where at least they still pretend to have a human component to their retail operations.

Spent $250 tonight to trigger my WWR$30 for $200 spend. Had WRR$8.59 on the card when I walked into the shop. Got WWR$1 from a purchase, then the WWR$30 from the targeted offer, then the catalogue had a spend $100 get wwr$10 so scanned that - upto WWR$41. Then $10 came off the shop and I had WWR45.89 on my card. $51 return on $250 spend - 20%!! You can keep your QFF points
