Woman Goes Through X-ray Machine

And the bonus is that she also has a total security check.

Maybe its the way of the future, instead of taking off your shoes etc, we will simply all lie down on a conveyor and be fully x-rayed :)

TBH, I've always wondered what it would be like to go through the machine.

Interesting. I don't trust security either but I'm not climbing through tge x-ray.

Phone, wallet and other important things in the tray. I hate when you are checked other side and facing away from belongings.

I NEVER put my wallet in the tray, there's nothing metallic in it. It stays in my pocket. Coins come out before I travel or go in the HL.

Phone in the tray, and laptop if I'm carrying one. My belt doesn't have a metal buckle and never wear shoes with metal on them.

Actually, I put my phone, wallet etc (belt doesn't set the machines off) all in my hand luggage before approaching security so I don't use the trays at all. One piece of hand luggage goes through x-ray and only one thing to grab when leaving. Much lower chance of someone taking my gear or me forgetting something.

My approach precisely. Not using a tray also keeps the line moving quickly (and allows me to bypass others who do not take that approach).

So you are the type who’d scan yourself in the printing machine?

Women just keep stuff in the handbags. It’s men who have to pat everything down and check all their pockets.

I usually have a man bag with all my stuff in it. I hate having all that stuff in my pockets.

Why put them in an open tray ? Asking for trouble.

Exactly. It's not as if you don't have time in the ( usual) queue to do this.

But it never ceases to amaze me how some travellers, no matter how frequently they fly, act as though they never had to go through any scanner before. An American in Europe, so he obviously got there somehow, took forever to get himself sorted to put stuff on the belt, and was surprised his bottle of water was seized. Then he didn’t empty out his pockets and beeped at the gate. He was young and seemingly fully cognisant. Just stupid.

Any of the medical specialists here like to comment on this? Surely can't be good for you, especially seeing as minor xrays at the dentist usually involve the staff going outside the room?

Mind you if it's a real image (it's on the internet so it must be true) from China, the person already has a lower life expectancy just from living in an environment being poisoned by a billion mostly oblivious humans.

I do the same as I know I am going to be wanded.Leaving SYD the last time though I turned around after wanding and a fellow was making off with my carryon.Turned out to be a simple mistake as he had an identical bag-but not with an AA LTP baggage tag.

Would that be just for domestic Oz travel?

I would never get away with that in some places. In the USA, for example, it's mostly shoes and belt off (except for TSA Pre✓) and never anything in the pockets at all, including wallet). The full-body scanners seem to show most things, and some that don't even exist. :)

i think her reasons for doing so are pretty transparent? I guess she felt that once she started on the process she just had to see it through ?? ;)
I can see right through your reasoning.

Where is @Hvr when you need him?
