Following on from the thread I started on 14 September 2013, I now start the sister thread - Wine I am not brave enough to drink - Red or White.

What do you have lurking in the cellar, under the bed or in the closet that you are not game enough to drink?

To kick off I have the following - 2 bottles too

That 1984 might be a great drain cleaner but why not try a sip seeing it is only 30 years old.
You now have me too scared to look down the other end of my wine cellar

Did you notice the evaporation on the left bottle cove?
If I tipped it down the drain I might be had up for environmental vandalism

Came from a great, great aunts place on her passing - not cellared properly until it obtained them about 15 years ago ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1400928570.520850.jpg

It is such a shame Geoffm that the labels are cactus. The contents may no longer be drinkable but the anniversary label would be a nice one to keep.

*runs off to cellar looking for a pre 1977 vintage*

Any wine which comes in a foil-coloured bag encased within a cardboard box with a plastic spout.

Yellowglen. I swear that chirpy lady in the ads must be high on something else, because it sure as hell can't be the bubbles.

Transform your lounge room (or any indoor space) into your own private movie theatre in just a few seconds.

Our Mini Pocket Projector is small, light and easily transportable. A must have!

I have a 1970s red by McWilliams with a very ornate label.

I also have a big plumber's bill because I put drainer cleaner down every pipe to fix a blockage. Who'd know that stuff congeals in the pipe like cement???

Undrinkable wine does need a new home and so a journey down the sink is a good option. Any dangerous bugs in your drain will enjoy the alcohol I presume.

I certainly wouldn't flush the Orlando down the drain.Definitely worth a sip or two to assess, then wait a couple of hours and assess again.

The 2 wines I picked are not old at all and I was "brave" enough to try them once.
The Bay of Stones Shiraz is served at some Hilton lounges in Australia.
When told one of the girls in the lounge this wine is just undrinkable she smiled and replied: "but our American guests love it". Nuff said.

The McGuigan Black Label Merlot 187ml is given as a "welcome back" gift for guests staying in Hilton Sydney. It's also sold at DM for $2, still overpriced IMO.

That's funny ... I was going to post the same thing! I have one of these that I received in a Kris Kringle at work at Christmas. A work colleague commented something along the lines of he wouldn't even use it for cooking! Retails for $3.99.
