Was a delightful evening hosted by GPH. The wines were a fine accompaniment to the meal cooked by Chef GPH, showing off his culinary skills across many methods of cooking - chicken, lamb, pork and that sous vide 51d beef.

Kabandas' partner showed off his dessert skills with a tiramisu.

The wines were perfect - I think we opened most of the reds. The 2004 Basket Press was at the end of its drinking life but I think the standout was the Suckfizzle Cabernet Sauvignon. Oaky nose and a long finish with mild tannins and drying acidity at the end.

The Suckfizzle is a personal favorite.
The wee small Wilsons were a great addition to the night.

The wee Wilsons had one of their latest nights on record. Mini #1 was asleep before the Gateway but mini #2 wasn't getting comfortable until top of Gateway. They didn't really sleep in this morning either. Looks like there are some new friends as well.

Thank you GPH for hosting a fabulous evening, our CSM Kabander ensured we were well taken care of, assistant chef prepared a magnificent light and fluffy tiramisu. The evening was well rounded with tasty food, fabulous wine, great conversation and a fine bunch of people to spend an evening with.
