Will QF ever do a status match

Hi All,

I have a tried a few times with Qantas for a status match from VA Plat to QF Plat / atleast Gold, but the answer has always been a NO.

With the focus now being on getting more customers on board, does it not make sense to have a status match approval and gain loyalty.

FYI, platinum is all with personal flying, no company paid trips including a few international ones.

They have done them but the one I am aware of is when a big corporate moved travel from Virgin to Qantas and Virgin statuses were matched, at least for senior staff.

How tawdry. Qantas has standards you know. They would rather go bankrupt than attract new customers in such a manner.

Why would you want to? Q is for old fogies, stick with the younger, hipper crowd at VA.

No they wont do a status match but if you stick around a few months you will more than likely end up Platinum with all the double SCs offers around.
