Not unless they changed it since I did the Melbourne-Perth trip less than a year ago. Which they may have done.

Not sure of your cabin but this is what VA offer on transcon. (copied from VA website)

I have been on the 1330hr flight and I was served lunch, I was in the J cabin.

My parents were on the same flight on Friday. Mum couldn't stop raving what a fantastic experience they had. They were in Economy but indeed did a decent meal for lunch (can't remember exactly what she ate, but wasn't the usual wrap/sandwich options)...and free drinks inc Alcohol. New fit out was impressive by the pics she posted also as I haven't been to Perth in years.

Apparently there is no more buy on board anymore on those trans-con flights. Just the free munchwa the airline hands out...
