Hello AFFers...

Have just booked a flight from Trondheim Norway through to Manchester UK on the BA.com website. This is what came back:

Trondheim - Oslo
SK 361 (L) class

Oslo - London
BA 767 (O) class

London - Manchester
BA 1404 (Q) class

Would like to know if I earn QF status credits for each of these flights and if so, how many? (I entered my QFF # when making the booking)

I looked for a BA status calculator but couldn't find anything that allowed me to punch in the details.....

Unsure what I'd earn for the SAS flight if anything - even though this was all booked through BA as I mentioned - Would it be wise for me to join the star alliance program and advise SAS of this when I check in?

Would also like to know if I'm eligible for lounge access with just my QP card (I'm only QF bronze) in any of the respective lounges

Thanks.... :)

You'll earn 0.25 points per mile on Q & O class fares on BA.

Not sure about the SK flights since QF are ending their agreement. At the moment it shows 0.25 points per mile as well, so for TRD-OSL you could expect to earn 56.
LHR-MAN will be 37 points and OSL-LHR will be 187 points and since you're bronze there's no status bonus.

With QP, give it a go. Strictly speaking the lounges that aren't BA operated you shouldn't get access too. But I've had mixed success trying it out. In CPH for example they let me in no questions asked and it's a third party lounge, while the IB lounge in BCN wouldn't let me in.

I misread the OP. Yes you will earn status credits on the BA sectors at least. 15 for OSL-LHR and 10 for LHR-MAN

Thanks Elbarto!

also appreciate the info on the ff points too... handy to know. :)

So I'm guessing I should register with star alliance just in case for the first leg?

My friends in the industry tell me that using more than one FF number is generally a no-no. So you could join a star program and that claim the points retrospectively? I'm not really sure what the implications of doing what you're doing are. TRD-OSL is only a short sector so it might not be worth the hassle. Maybe one of our more frequent flyers here can share their experiences on trying to have two different programs credited for two different sectors on one booking. The last thing you'd want to do is overwrite the QF number in the booking with that of a Star number when there's arguably more gain by just leaving the QF number.

Mum recently had a mixed Aegean and qantas booking. Aegean being the middle segments, when checking in on those flights the CSA signed her up to the LH program (no idea why not Aegean). The LH FF number was then in the booking of the later qantas segments. Buy mum just asked to have that changed when checking in for the qantas flights. All points posted without delay.
