Technically you are not right. Just because he has a medically condition doesn't automatically preclude him from sitting in a exit row seat.

True enough, but I think he fails a couple of them anyway, in particular this one "be willing and able to move quickly and assist crew in an emergency situation", but "willing and able to listen" might be a problem too.

What a massive tool!! Wonder if his mate on the QF board will insist on banning him for life for (publicly) verbally assulting staff?

He stated at the show after that he told the FA he was able and willing to open the door (despite his back issue).

If that able he wouldn't have required to move around like he did to relieve his back.

Totally agree. I suspect throwing a 20kg door outside the aircraft in an emergency might be deemed by the crew to be impossible for him given his OA and back issues.

It's funny how the initial PR response from his team was to state that the exit row seat was needed for comfort given his condition. A bit of a fail there really.....

Luckily, it was a 'misunderstanding', as he's a very well know comedian with a varied media platform, providing him with fodder for sarcasm may not be good PR.

There was not cost to the airline - no diversions. So can understand the airline's response.

What a jerk to go straight to Twitter like that. So childish. Then obviously realised he sounded like a moron so deleted it...

Until I read this thread, I had never heard of him, so not sure whether that is good or bad?
