Why won't my seat selection stick ?

Any ideas why my preselected seat keeps disappearing on check-in ?

Two flights in 3 days where this has happened.

I posted in other thread on T-80 hour seat selection.

Happened on 3 flights in 4 days for me.

Not good enough. If I preselect row 4 I want sit in row 4 not row 6.

Not 3 QF flights in a row.

Each time I ended up with my original pre T-80 hour seat selection which would suggest some bug.

Happened to me on VA as well, had to call the Gold desk to fix

It happened again. Preselected seat reverted to blank (nothing selected) in the space of 24 hrs.

It wasn't a higher status pax taking the seat because my preferred seat has become available again...

So I've selected it again (a 3rd time) and will wait and see if this time it sticks !

Happened on our QF flight later today.Originally selected 2A,C.Checked 2 days ago and I had been moved to 3D.Changed it back but last night again I was in 3D.
Hopefully we will end up in 2A,C.

I have been able to change seats using Internet Explorer for Friday's flight. But Sunday's flight seat allocation has gone missing and row 8 is the best I can get now.

Just as well I am paranoid and checked my SIN-SYD flight in 3 weeks. Yep you guessed it. A333 aircraft substituted with A332. My 23J is now bassinet. I can't select seat and 24G is taken.

Called Qantas and apparently I have been put in 24G but seat not showing as allocated in my booking. Asked for 23J and that has been pre-allocated for me. I had better not lose my bulkhead seat.

I have been seeing a couple of examples like this where the only explanation is a glitch in MMB, where a seat selection is dropped after a booking is reviewed. Even if seating selection is not changed.

It comes up in the GDS as "modified by end user" when no change has actually been made by the user, but the system drops their selection.

Totally weird.
