Why the big price difference on sites for one-way short haul?

I was looking for a flight from Sicily to Naples. Matrixita shows less than AUD100 each, and this is bookable on the Alitalia (and Skyscanner) website.

However, if I try Zuji or Jetabroad (for example) they quote $250 per person.

Why is it so?

Follow-up question, what sites do you use from Oz to book internal Europe trips like this?

On line booking sites don't always have access to the lowest possible fares. But I would suggest a good starting point is googleflights. That usually has links to where to buy the ticket.

Generally the airline's own website will give you the best deals. In a few rare cases the airline's own site won't facilitate bookings, or this may be restricted by country (no foreign credit cards can be used for example). Then you have to use an on-line agency.

Last time I booked an internal EU flight I did it direct with Air Berlin. Could not find a better price. YMMV
