Why do they turn day into night?

I was referring more to the movie screen part of BAM's comment, hence I'd underlined it when quoting.

You want to watch a movie, I want to look out the window. I think it's a bit inconsiderate you think movie watching is more important.

When you want to look, lift the screen. Otherwise why not be considerate to those around you? Their watching a movie is impacting you. However your leaving the screen up can impact them and I don't just mean making their screen impossible to look at.
