Why can’t you see what I see Qantas?

I'm trying to book an award CX (F) SIN-HKG-JFK and want to maximize time in HKG lounge for good reason, however the Qantas engine is giving me only two options.

736J/840F - 2 hour layover
or later
690J/846F - 2 hour layover

why can't I do 736J/846F - 4.5 hour layover, as clearly they both have award availability and fall within MCT?

It may be CX not allowing it.

Multi trip booking might work?

Thanks, I'm both grateful and annoyed that I didn't think of that.. Maybe I'm not a s savvy as I think I am!
I was able to get 714/830 which still gives me 4 hours layover in The Wing but also saves me a nights accom in Singapore with a 01:20am departure.
