Who did the Qantas double status credit offer?

We did ours with some hours to spare. I saw others tried to be the last to get it booked.

We did ours on the morning of the 5th (my DSC offer only came through on the afternoon of the 4th).

I've had a conference I wanted to attend on my mind and had already worked out flights, hotels and travel. Just had to sit and wait for DSC offer which I'd heard might be coming late September. We're going MEL-SYD-SIN-LHR-BCN; LIS-LHR-PER-MEL; didn't really want QF10 but QF2 was already booked out in J 4 days either side of our return date but QF10 was wide open (wonder what that says about relative popularity of the two flights?). I think I've worked out it's a total of 1340SC all up which comfortably retains WP till late 2019..

I didnt get it but may book something in the coming weeks so if there is a general offer still to come or somewhere to keep in the know it would be great to find out.

Received the offer but didn't book a single flight. QF status is just not worth unnecessary flying/spending.

Took out a few speculative futures option. Will worry about converting after March 2018....

We had talked about it so even though the timing was tight it still worked for us for the third time. Many would not be able to work within the time frame and it does appear the offer was selective.
Staying Platinum is helpful for using QF points during the year.

I would have used it if I had got it. Unfortunately, I did not.

I already had enough bookings to retain WP, but would have considered trying for P1 if I'd got the offer.

It was quite handy for us, I booked 2 domestic Y sectors and 4 international J sectors. Combined with existing bookings we now have all our international trips booked up for the next 12 months - which is kind of annoying because I love booking international J flights

I get spammed almost daily by QFF for every 'special' under the sun. But the only special I really really wanted (ie DSC) never arrived. Very frustrating as I had some bookings to make and will end the year about 50 SCs short of qualifying for Platinum for the first time. Cest le vie

I get lots of emails too and badly wanted this one and didn't get it. If you can you should try to book some trips indirect e.g. MEL-SYD-OOL instead of MEL-OOL or even a higher booking class. You can pickup 50SC easily.

Ended up taking 8 stock standard options ..... + quite a few very speculative, no risk additional coverage!
