Which PJs in the sky

So this thread made me open up the recent PJ's on a J flight. It was mentioned at the time that small ones weren't available. But xx_? I'm just a small lassie. :(

Good to know. Ex SYD as well (day flight)?

Yes, daytime flights too and definitely ex SYD.
But, as MEL_T mentioned above, not on the shorter regional flights.

Edit: It's worth noting that TG large is about the same size as QF medium.

Mildly OT but pyjama threads remind me of an FT thread some years ago where people were quizzed as to whether they went 'commando' when flying and wearing airline PJs.
There were certainly some who did (I rarely wear airline PJs, but commando is a little OTT for me in a shared plane cabin).
For the record, I am not posing that question here. :)

For the benefits of discussion - day flight QF127 SYD HKG

Quite comfortable

I was the only one (in PE) doing it.

I use PJ's on all long haul flights, no matter what cabin I am in.

Currently use a pair of SQ first I have had for a few years - really comfortable with double pocket.

Don't bother on short flights such as SIN/Oz.

Change into them after seat belt sign goes off - before dinner as being a HLO traveller I like to preserve my day clothes.

Change back after pre landing meal.

So does anyone ever stay in the PJs when transitting on a one stop flight - e.g. in DXB on QF1 or QF9?

I hope nobody ever does it.

You need to clear the plane, go through security and stay in lounge for two hours...... all in PJ ????

Not for me - ever.

Some might think you had escaped from .... eh, an asylum.

I remember thinking the same thing on the old MEL-LHR route when stopping in SIN. I only went off the plane to take a shower and it was already boarding time again. I changed to regular clothes, wasn't brave enough to stay in PJ :)
Same goes for changing in the lounge before boarding. Make sense to do it in a comfortable bathroom rather then in a cramped toilet 10 min later but again, I'm not brave enough to walk in the terminal wearing PJ :)

I had the same thoughts but extinguished them as quickly as they appeared.

Logics does not bring common sense, nor decorum, on this occasion.

I was told by a FA in QF A380 F a couple of years ago that once a woman stripped naked in the F cabin to don her PJs . I seem to recall that there was a suggestion the person was not nubile (perhaps as one might expect ) but I didn't seek any more details.

I have seen a male take off at least his shirt standing up in the J cabin (can't recall which airline) to don his PJ top. I don't know how the bottom half was handled.

Whilst in the EK first class lounge in DXB in August last year, I happened to sight a QF passenger wandering around in their QF PJs. They did manage to put shoes on, not just the sleeper socks. I did have a little chuckle to myself.

About 4 years ago in a snowed in Queenstown NZ happened across a well dressed lady wandering around in the snow outside the hotel. During the ensuing chat turned out she was QF cabin crew that were stranded due to the sudden change in weather. She was freezing and showed us the QF pajamas she had on beneath her overcoat to stay warm!

Well, you did use the term 'wandering'

I recall a photo posted, I think on this forum, of a guy turning up to breakfast at Glass at Sydney Hilton wearing QF J pyjamas... really off IMHO.

Barry Humphries worked in them during the filming for the hobbit
