Just need some advice.
Flying MEL-KUL late Tue night ( Wed 00.30 MH 128)
We have lounge access from MH since we are flying J - can't remember if it is the Marhaba lounge or not.

Also have Amex platinum so we can get in to:
Amex centurion
Plaza Premium
The House ($20 surcharge per person)

Mrs D also has Citi Prestige which gets us $72 at various cafes such as Bar Pulpo, Cafe Sol and Pickett's deli

Choices, choices...

My plan is to hit one or two cafes for some decent PP food and then go to a lounge, as I often find lounge food to be a bit "party-pie".

Give that The House is an extra $40 I'm wondering if their a la carte will be any better than the multiple cafès which we can access for free, on PP? That is my main question, really.

Finally, I wonder how many of you would stay awake until 01.30 (or later) to eat the satays? I'm really conflicted. Sleep or satay?

Nuclear question... Is the MH satay better than the SQ?...... hahaha

p.s. We can guest 2 x pax - pm me.

I guess then you don't have QF status. In that case I would go to the Marhaba lounge.

As it happens, I'm also flying to Asia on Tuesday night, on Scoot (biz) from SYD. I'm flying down from OOL on VA, so I plan to spend a little time in the SYD VA lounge (dom) and then head over to Intl, where I plan to visit the Amex lounge (Plat), and the House, using my Diner's card (while I still can). Not quite up to the Qantas First lounge, but you get what you can...

F & B in Merhaba / Centurion same same - The House F & B offerings disgraceful last time I was there 6 to 8 weeks ago - but they do have a hand made coughtail list - try all 3 Duffa and that must nail it 👍👍

See my recent TR on flying MH0128 in J out of MEL:

If you are in J you can also use the Qantas Business Class lounge - until it closes.

MH use the Marhaba lounge and it's not too terrible. I believe it's the old Emirates lounge? It's beside the Qantas First Class lounge. Nice airport views.

I took the sleep option. But see the menu. The satays are served immediately after take off, so it should be a quick service . It was on my flight!
