Which flight would you take?

Okay folks, about to book a J class fare between Europe and New York for a friends birthday. We've locked in our flights to Europe, got a screaming good deal at around 5k with Oman Air.

The choice we now have is:

Either BA return on their new 777 Business Class Suite both ways

or
Air France 777 Business Class Suite to JFK and Virgin Atlantic Business Class Suite on the A350 back.
Thoughts? Has anyone done either?

Have a relative in the UK that does this trip a couple of times per year and rates VS highly. She did say there is a huge difference between aircraft though and said the A350 is superb but can’t stand the B787 comfort wise

Okay folks, well sitting here at MEL waiting on checkin for Thai to open.
Route we are ending up taking is MEL-BKK-MUS-CDG-JFK then reversed. Why so many? we want to try the different products.
Check in in about 30 minutes and then will check out lounges. J class all the way on Thai, Oman and BA.
Will report back.

I’d have picked VS but not AF.

So BA if unable to have VS in both directions.
