I do not like elections but used to watch the updates from the tally room.

Sort of like Eurovision. I like the tally at the end of the show and have tried to watch it when I have had time.

I have received and accepted an offer from the AEC to work in a local polling booth. Peter Beattie is the ALP candidate.

It should be an interesting day

Just a quick update. In keeping with the theme of the day (eg Prime Ministers and elections) I will be visiting Chartwell, the family home of Winston Churchill.

P.S. No polling booths there on the day, but should manage to slip a postal in before I leave OZ.

At the same time watch the TV.

Or, for variety, you can read the regulalry updated ABC blog, with direct update feed from the AEC at ABC Elections (Australian Broadcasting Corporation).

Wooooohooooo way to go Mrs Ansett and I Plan going to Ibiza next year much to our 22 year old daughters discust she thinks we are too old to Party LOL

We went last year - so it's back to back for us - but if you stay on the western parts of the island like at Cala Tarida it is very tranquil, nice beaches, and none of that party wildness of San Antonio or Playa Den Bossa. We didn't stay at Cala Tarida but enjoyed some nice sunsets laying on the beach, also there are a number of chillout bars/lounges such as Cafe Del Mar, Blue Marlin which is great for afternoon coughtails [prior to hitting the nightclubs]

I don't think any skeletons were mentioned in the article, just that the majority of Forde voters liked the current LNP member over Beattie. Not a good look, regardless.
