The same situation applies in Tokyo, but we'll only be there for 24hrs.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If anyone can suggest tour companies to look at that would be appreciated too.

ps. Picking new hotels for holidays is one of my least favourite activities. :)
We were in Tokyo last November & took a Cityrama Tokyo Afternoon Tour with JB Sunrise tours, which I booked through the Zuji website with Viator. I checked a number of tour offers & given that most stop at the same 4 or 5 major destinations, booked on cost (about $45 each) & pick-up options (the Sunrise HQ, major hotels & several major railway stations).
The tour stopped at the Tokyo Tower (priority entry to the Observatory level was welcome due to the long queues waiting to enter). drove past the national Diet Building & stopped at the Imperial Palace Gardens, Asakusa Kannon/Nakamise Shopping Street before terminating in Ginza.
We would have liked a bit longer at the Palace Gardens but it is only a 10-15 minute walk from Tokyo Station if you want to see more.
If you do book with Sunrise, note that you may need to confirm your tour details prior to arriving in Tokyo & this can be done by emailing [email protected]
