Have booked 4 J flights CGK - CDG for a family trip to Europe. Last time we did this I credited the Etihad earn to Velocity, and with family pooling hit WP and got a useful swag of points.
This time with no Velocity partnership I’m not sure whether to credit to a new EY account or to a partner?
The best partner options seem like American for one world flights or possible Aeroplan to try and hit some sort of *alliance status. It would be excellent if I could credit to a scheme that allowed family pooling.
I’m a pretty rusted on QF WP for work travel, but I often redeem Velocity points for domestic family trips. I have an Amex Plat & CBA ultimate so have options to credit from there to a scheme that gives good redemptions.
Not currently a member of any *A program. I did have one flight in Y+ booked with Air Canada later this year, prior to the EY flights.
Would welcome any thoughts from anyone who has been though this?
