Ok - for a little twist and triple pike…..At the risk of giving it all away apropos of #1440 post here are 3 photos in UK.
Can you tell which series was filmed where?
Clue - No 3 - this is now a hairdresser but there’s a clue in the name🤔🧐 and 😛

Thankyou - interesting background . This is what I love about AFF.
Its a great thing to travel to favorite screen locations
Hubby and I are British crime/drama buffs and spend a few days tootling around various Midsummer/Morse etc locations.
(although only he met the cast of Doc Martin!)
Same here. MrsK and I like to follow the trails in real life of UK, US and Australian crime writers - or at least drink in the same places their characters do.

No quiz question here.

When we were in the UK in 2016 we had our final night in England in Watlington as it's close to Heathrow. As we were sitting in the bar of the pub, The Fat Fox we remarked how Watlington seemed the sort of place you would see in Midsomer Murders. The barmaid overhaerd us, and gave us a brochure, which showed you where several scenes from Midsomer Murder had been filmed in Watlington. We did another lap around the village, visiting the other two pubs again, to check them out. The church was a bit creepy.

Re: Photo 3:
🤔 @VPS - I will pay that (and loooove Grantchester) which is filmed there…. but this is a famous location for which the clue is in the name (ie the actor in the series)
Haven't watched it since Sidney left

Mega-wow. I've never met him in real life. I got hooked on the UK writers some years ago with Peter Robinson and his Ian Banks character. And then Ian Rankin with John Rebus; also Michael Connelly and Harry Bosch. I don't know why I identify with damaged characters with a love of fine whiskey, but it works for me.

OMG - could any actor embody the character of Harry Bosch other than Titus Welliver…when I learned about his real life you could see where that pain came from. All great writers you have noted. Add Ann Cleve (Vera pet) ..

I’m very excited about the cruise even if it is over 12 months away.

No takers on this? Hint - it's in Tuscany. Anyone been to Tuscany ? 🙂

Geothermal power plant in central Tuscany at Lardelello south of Volterra to left of Siena.
Spent a couple of weeks in Tuscany - best hot chocolate I have ever had in Volterra. Most expensive hot chocolate I've ever had in the square in Siena but it was worth it. Sadly I missed the power plant. Mind you driving down from Livorno I couldn't believe how many women were selling themselves on the side of road.
