The temptation to cheat is way too much. There's plenty of clues in all of your posts (well the list of TRs' that goes underneath them anyway) ...... and as such I did cheat (by clicking a link) ! Might you be in a country whose people were often demonised in the tabloid media in some Australian cities, particularly Melbourne? (no, not China or the US!).

You are on the right track, but I think there may be a subtle difference.

An international airport in the southern USA where Mardi Gras is recognised as an offical holiday....but it is north of what is typically seen as Cajun.

Wot?!🧐

The media aren’t that nuanced! 😜 Was thinking of Sudan, but I did cheat by sneaking a peak at the TR you posted :p
Egypt
… although I have no idea what I’m responding to (a pyramidal object - which is probably too easy a clue for simpleton like me)..😂

What I was referring to is that underneath JohnM’s posts he has links to all of his trip reports. Seeing the pyramid he posted I figured it wasn’t quite like an Egyptian pyramid but took an educated guess as to what was nearby to Egypt and that + the list of trip reports led me to Sudan. And I cheated by looking at the Sudan TR 😉

No - but don't let that deter you. :p

Doc, let's get the medical terminology straight - that is the Priapia tree; Bill purportedly had Peyronie's disease.

PS: Let's keep cigars out of it. 😜
