Need a return business tix SYD-BOS leaving end of June - returning mid August 09. When is the best time to book to get the cheapest fare? Also can anyone recommend a TA or consolidator that has reasonable prices? I would prefer to travel on airlines that have as few transits (<= 2) as possible.

Hi SYD-YYZ - welcome! To confirm what you are after, in the order of priority, it sounds like:

1. Has to be business class
2. Few transits (<= 2)
3. Cheapest fare - no preference on the airline as long as the above two criteria are met

I suspect someone with premium Expert Flyer subscription can help you out looking up the cheapest fare, but recently a friend got some really cheap fare MEL-PVG-JFK from China Eastern. Personally I've never flown them before but it may meet all of your criteria.

Re: best time - I found it to be quite hit and miss whenever I tried to wait for discount fare. Nowadays I just book as soon as I can - this also avoid the constant fuel surcharge raises.

Good luck!
