When does the Fly Ahead offer on the app appear?

Sorry if this question has been asked already but I couldn't really find the answer to my question. I know that there is now a Fly Ahead offer on the app but what I can't work out is when it appears? Is it there after you've checked in or even before you've checked in? Is it offered at the very beginning of the day or only a certain time frame before your flight?

It should automatically appear at the beginning of the day of travel (12:01am from experience) regardless of whether you have checked in or not.

As above at 12.01 the day off - but I often won't see actual offers when clicking the link until later in the morning. Out of my last 4 trips, only one time was there ever actually an offer to fly ahead.
