When did the new Velocity website get loaded. Talk about epic FAIL!

I like the general aesthetic of the refresh, but it's too bulky (visually) and the content is dumbed down. Typical form over function. I appreciate the steps to mimic DL product, but you've gotta have the backend to support it.

Rewards store relaunches this week.

Which I think is the most appropriate conclusion which isn't extremist.

Looks like another update has occurred.

Wow I have earned over 2 million points since I joined Velocity and use practically used all of them too. It's like money!!!

Oh Dear ... (It was always only a matter of time)

I see what you mean re the "my Reservations" ...

1.90M liftetime velocity with 1.85M redeemed.

Thats a cool feature! 1.2M earned, 1M redeemed...
Be interested to see what the highest AFF total is...

I'm wondering if they're going to use that information for something in the near future, like maybe some sort of lifetime status, or if it's just a cool little extra bit of data that they've now surfaced.

I booked a flight earlier today. The interface was woeful. After I booked I searched for some airfares and the old interface appeared.

Is this another case of updating everything to suit tablet users and stuff everyone else?

Ummmmm?

Wonder if this has something to do with a couple of years ago, some of us were getting incorrect points allocated to us.

So much wasted screen space....what is it with this phenomenon these days. I don't need massive banners to click on a button and incur massive scrolling...

It was actually "a thing" a few years ago. There was also the "box" or "circle" concept to go through different sections. So the new website is really designed against some old designs IMHO.

It should be:
Clean and concise (drawing attention to relevant information sections)
Minimal clicks (people want information quickly and easily accessible)
Have a modern feel (when you visit the page it doesn't look like it's past it's used by date. Open to interpretation)

.. The new website fails all of this and to be honest a lot of the blame would sit in the marketing department and they would have come up with the design and style guide (with probably had some external consultant assistance).

Did anyone have their status changed with the new update? I am due to change from Platinum to Gold 5th of September but a couple weeks ago when the website changed I was downgraded to Gold early! I didn't bother calling Virgin about it as I didn't have any flights planned but I was a bit sad to be changed early. The strange thing is all the email communication and when I call is still referred to as Platinum.

The main thing I have been worried about that I think the website change may have stuffed me on, up until now every time I have moved between Gold and Platinum up or down I have been able to retrigger HH Status match (despite what others here have experienced) however when they changed me to Gold alongside the website change, this time the button for HH hasn't reappeared :(
The button was there for me and I applied for gold (having dropped to silver from the free virgin platinum) but it never upgraded me
I was going to ring virgin but I was so close to getting gold I decided not too
