I'm heading to CDG via KLIA on MH ex Perth on Saturday. My flight is 4.30pm and checkin would be smack bang in the middle of the AFL grand final. What is the earliest I could check in to camp myself in the Qantas lounge to watch the game.

Wouldn't it be 3 hours maximum before departure?

I know with MH in BKK the check-in counter does not open until ~2:30 hrs before departure.

Yeah 3 hours is what I was thinking, but looking for a definitive answer as I would hate to get their too early and have to park in the pre immigration bar when I could be still at home.

Still no answer? Everyone in Perth must be pre-occupied.

So what did the answer turn out to be? Did you get there early and try?

Nah watched the footy until half time and headed in and watched the 2nd half from the Qantas lounge. The golden lounge didn't have the footy on and is not as good as the QF lounge.

Hmm. That's actually good to know about the PER QF lounge being better than the Golden Lounge. Guess that makes the lounge decision for my upcoming trip on MH a little easier!

Do you mind me asking why you think the QF lounge is better?

Basically QF is much bigger. MH doesn't have toilets, so probably doesn't have shower suites. You have to use the public toilets outside. Lounge angel is just a person to make sure you can come in, where QF lounge angel can do booking stuff, add frequent flyer number etc. it's no comparison.
