What's your Uber experience?

Definetly don't rely on Uber in Paris. Was after a transfer from our hotel to Gare De Lyon for our TGV to Switzerland. Used the most expensive selection as well hoping it would trigger a pick up.

Luckily I started the booking process 2 hours before our train.

After over 40 minutes with no driver accepting the pickup, we used the nearby Metro Line 6 Cambronne station and walk from Bercy instead with still 45 minutes to spare👌

Cambronne station closed for refurbishment the day after we left as well, so luck was on our side on that 😊 👍

Midday train, so the Uber request was well after rush hour.

Had an interesting experience with catching Uber to Melbourne airport today. Noticed the trip fare was $10 more than quoted so looked at the App and noticed driver had claimed to have dropped me off at Essendon fields (6km away). Queried it and got it reversed.
I think some Uber drivers are getting as dodgy as taxis.
It is likely that some taxi drivers realised they can buy their own car and drive with UBER. That is why some of the UBER drivers are dodgy; they have moved from Taxis. UBER monitors all trips and do send comments to the driver if anything untoward is noticed, i.e. if you happen to be sitting at traffic lights for an extended period, Uber will send a message saying you have been stopped for a long time, is everything okay?
With regard to fares, all the driver does is drive, EVERYTHING else is arranged, setup, organised by Uber. It has also been noted that UBER underestimate the time of a trip for a significant number of trips that can add up to many hours in a month. For the individuals who drive for 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, that amounts to a considerable loss of income on an annual basis.
