What was the cost of that?

In totally I spent around $300~ x 3 and the last leg costed me $600~ as I wanted to try CX and TG J.

So $1500~ give or take.

These were on MH when it was on sale during October last year I believe.

My record was set last year by flying LGA-DFW-LAX-HKG-BOM-HKG-DEL. It was around 72 hours between leaving the hotel in New York and arriving at the one in New Delhi.

Had 2 ~8 hour stops in HKG so went into the city.

The direct turn at BOM nearly didn't happen as the international transfer desk there had trouble understanding why I was returning to HKG despite having a visa for India.

The trip was my first time in CX J and I was suitably impressed.

An unforgettable run, for all the wrong reasons, over three days was MEL-LAX-DFW-RDU-JFK-LHR-SIN-HKG-ICN where I when straight out for a business dinner. Ended up polishing off 7 1/2 bottles of soju (Korean liquor a little bit like sake, 22% OH, 375ml bottles) + beer/wine as it was a stressful time in life. Nothing to be proud of, but interesting I did make many friends over this and its almost folklore stuff for a few of the young ones these days. That was 9 years ago and it took me 7 years before I would drink soju again; the stupid things we do when we are young!!!!

CMB-SIN-HKG-BKK-CMB-BKK-HKG-SYD over two days. Took me from just below Silver to past Gold.

Then, three months later,

SYD-HKG-SIN-CMB-SIN-HKG-NRT/ 3 nights /-HKG-BKK-CMB-BKK/1 Night/HKG-SYD

One of the bolded segments pushed me past Platinum for the first time, can't remember which. Status change came through while I was seated in the then QF J lounge in HKG (prior to the last HKG-SYD segment) and I promptly requested the desk to call upstairs and make it known I was headed there :P

I have done a few trips of 12-13 flights, possibly more, in 2-3 days.

There was the award around Australia, Queensland mining towns and a few sorties in SE Asia.

I love flying. It gives me a thrill. I love airports. I love being in different airports on the one day/trip. Planning September trip to Thailand which should involve ~11 flights in 2 weeks and if it wasn't for fiancée I'd be doing a lot more. She just rolls her eyes when I tell her I will come to CNX via BNE-SIN-HKG-SIN-BKK-CNX. Shame some of the SE Asian business class airfares have increased.

I have a status run to retain QF Gold next week. SYD-BKK-KUL-TPE-KUL-BKK-SIN-MEL-SYD. All J class. Not the cheapest way to obtain status credits but I'm looking forward to trying EK J and also the new QF A330 J class! 4 day trip.

You people are all bonkers - I love hearing about all these runs! :) Would do some myself if I could....

I'd like to think being bonkers is relative. Comparatively to all the people around here, I like to think we're all fairly sane. :D
